Why me???

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983.From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed:

"Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease"?

To this Arthur Ashe replied: The world over -- 50,000,000 children start playing tennis, 5,000,000 learn to play tennis, 500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals,

When I was holding a cup I never asked GOD "Why me?".

And today in pain I should not be asking GOD "Why me?"

  Srila Prabhupada instructs :

The kala (time) offers the conditioned souls both happiness and miseries. It is all predestined by eternal time. As we have miseries uncalled-for, so we may have happiness also without being asked, for they are all predestined by kala. No one is therefore either an enemy or friend of the Lord. Everyone is suffering and enjoying the result of his own destiny.

In this material world we have to, we are forced to accept happiness or distress according to destiny. You cannot deny, that "I'll not take this distressed condition of life. I'll simply take the happiness portion.?That you cannot do.

It is no use saying that we do not know why and for what we are suffering. We may forget the misdeed for which we may suffer at this present moment, but we must remember that Paramatma is our constant companion, and therefore He knows everything, past, present
and future. And because the Paramatma feature of Lord Krishna destines all actions and reactions, He is the supreme controller also. Without His sanction not a blade of grass can move. The living beings are given as much freedom as they deserve, and misuse of that
freedom is the cause of suffering.

Although the Lord does not favor or abuse anyone, we still observe happiness and suffering in this world. The Gita (13.22) states, karanam guna-sango `sya : We desire to associate with various qualities of material nature, and thus we must accept the consequences. The Lord provides the field of material nature, in which we exercise our free will. Foolish nondevotees not only attempt to cheat the Lord by trying to exploit His nature, but when they suffer the reaction they blame God for their own misdeeds. This is the shameless position of those who are envious of God.

How to Love Krishna

John, a woodcutter, worked for a company for five years but never got a raise. The company hired Bill and within a year he got a raise. Then John resented Bill's getting a raise after only a year and went to his boss to talk about it.

The boss said, "You are still cutting the same number of trees you were cutting five years ago. We are a result-oriented company and would be happy to give you a raise if your productivity goes up."

John went back, started hitting harder and putting in longer hours but he still wasn't able to cut more trees. He went back to his boss and told him his dilemma. The boss told John to go talk to Bill. "Maybe there is something Bill knows that you and I don't."

John asked Bill how he managed to cut more trees.

Bill answered, "After every tree I cut, I take a break for two minutes and sharpen my axe. When was the last time you sharpened your axe?"

In our day to day life, we can immensely improve our efficiency and effectiveness by regularly sharpening four dimensions of our personality ?
physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Of the four dimensions ?spiritual dimension is prime and foremost.

Why?

Spiritual dimension gives us overall perspective in life and helps us lead principle centered life. It naturally and holistically promotes overall wellness.

In the present age the recommended process for sharpening the spiritual dimension is chanting the Holy Names of Lord, especially the Hare Krishna maha-mantra.

Srila Prabhupada instructs:

"We can remember Krishna in every moment. We can remember Krishna while taking a glass of water because the taste of water is Krishna. We can remember Krishna as soon as we see the sunlight in the morning, because the sunlight is a reflection of Krishna's Bodily Effulgence. Similarly, as soon as we see moonlight in the evening we remember Krishna because moonlight is also reflection of sunlight. Similarly, when we hear any sound we can remember Krishna because sound is Krishna, and the most perfect sound, transcendental, is Hare Krishna, which we have to chant 24 hours. So there is no scope of forgetting Krishna at any moment of our life provided we practice in that way. "

Why do vaishnavas have so many problems in their spiritual life?

Why do vaishnavas have so many problems in their spiritual life?

Whenever i encounter some difficulty in this world, I recall these lines in my mind.

"The tests are there so Krishna can see whether his devotee have unconditional love and devotion to Him, even when there are problems.

Even though a devotee is put into a circumstance that should make his love diminish, his love increases more and more.
Bad health, financial problems, family members dying, accidents, criticism, etc. could result in a devotee blaming Krishna.

Instead the love of an advanced devotee increases. It is this unconditional love and devotion that purchases Krishna. He becomes obliged to such a devotee and places Himself under the control of that devotee"

Krishna bhajan - Mohan bolo kab aaoge

Mohan Bolo kab aaoge - Krishna Bhajan

Preetam bolo kab aaoge,
Kab bina bol is daasi ko hari charnan so liptaoge..

This bhajan i listened recently, what a beautiful bhajan this is.
Lyrics are so beautiful and deep.
You, too, enjoy this awesome bhajan.

The essence of this bhajan is that we are just waiting for you to come, the love of this world is not real.
Only you, Krishna, is real, everything else is delusion.

Mohan(Krishna) when will you come,
My Lover, when will you come,
When will you embrace me in your feet

(This heart filled with love cries for you,
With this breath, it weaves garland of tears,

In dark, isolated Kunj,
all night, i wait for you to come)

why i call you Shyam,
This is the reason why..

(The love of this world is false,
I had lot of self conceit on my fate,
But it seems now, my fate is also worth nothing.

O Shyam, are you also sulked with me)

These lines are for Meera ji,
