Who is Gopi and What is venu geet

Radhe radhe ,

In this post, i want to explain who is real Gopi and what is Venu Geet.
Actually, if someone is gopi, it is not based on gender, male and female can both be Gopi.
The only thing needed is full devotion towards shri krishna.
Our love towards shri krishna can be as a sakha, gopi, bhakt or whatever you may like.
Important thing to act as Gopi is, we need not be a female. As a male also, we can treat ourselves as gopi.

Shukdev ji says to Pariksheet:
Whatever Leela Shri krishna used to do in the woods, every gopi could see it from their own house.
Due to deep love with Shri krishna, they had powers of doordarshan, door shravan(listen and see from long distance).
Shri Krishna used to start playing flute along the bank of Shri Yamuna, and gopis used to say to each other:

shri krishna wallpaper with murli

Mohan ki murli baaji re, yamuna ke teer
(Krishna playing flute, along the bank of Yamuna river)

1) Murli baja ke man har leena, kaise bandhaoo dheer...baji re
(He has taken my heart by playing flute, how i contol myself)

2) kali kamaliya, kale kanhaiya, kala hai yamuna ka neer...baji re

3) na tan bas mein, na man bas mein, kaisi sakhi se peer...baji re

4) rom rom mohan man baitha, bandhi prem zanzeer....baji re

I like this bhajan a lot and can be sung/listened all day long by krishna bhakt.

Gopis saw that Shri Krishna is entering in Vrindavan with friends,
unke sheesh par mor ka pankh hai(peacock feathers on his head), kaner ka phool to ek h par kaan do h, shareer par peela peetambar h(body has yellow cloth).
gale mein vaijanti maala hai, shri krishna baansuri bajate chal rahe hain(Shri krishna is walking by playing flute).

Murli manohar ki bansuri sun kar uski madhur taaan ka jo varnan kiya, usi ka naam Venu Geet hai.
(By listening this beautiful flute, Gopis explained this voice in words which is called Venu Geet)
